Inaugurated in 1887, the Co-cathedral is neo-Gothic in style and features a neo-Byzantine dome; it is listed as a heritage building. Its museum, houses a collection of items that date back to the origins of the parish, in 1697. Its heritage value and unique character make it one of the most highly-ranked buildings in Québec. The Co-cathedral is part of the circuit, the Saint Lawrence River Shrines, which includes 7 heritage and religious sites from Châteauguay to Varennes, through Kahnawake, La Prairie, Longueuil and Boucherville.
